By accessing or using the "Who Am I" application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use this service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Minimum Age Requirement: This app is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

COPPA Compliance: In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), if we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete that information from our records.

Parental Rights: Parents or guardians who believe their child under 13 has created an account may contact us to request review and deletion of their child's data.

Users aged 13–17: If you are between 13 and 17, please review these terms with a parent or guardian before using the app. Some features (such as AI therapy sessions) are intended for emotional guidance only and do not replace professional mental health care.

Lawful Basis: We process your personal data based on your consent (provided at account creation) and our legitimate interest in providing the service.

Your Rights Under GDPR:

• Right to Access — Request a copy of your personal data.
• Right to Rectification — Correct inaccurate data.
• Right to Erasure — Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to Portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format.

Data Transfers: Your data may be stored and processed outside the EU. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in compliance with GDPR Article 46.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): California residents have additional rights regarding their personal information.

Information You Provide: Name, email, profile details, journal entries, quiz answers, mood check-ins, goal data, and relationship notes.

How We Use It:

• To provide and personalize the self-discovery experience.
• To generate AI-powered insights using anonymized prompts.
• To send weekly growth reports (if opted in).
• To improve app features and security.

We do not: sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models without your explicit consent.

Data Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request full deletion at any time from your Profile settings or by contacting us.

AI & Third-Party Services: AI responses are generated via third-party LLM providers. Prompts are sent with minimal identifying information. Payments are processed securely via Stripe and we do not store card details.

Not a Medical Service: The "Who Am I" app is a personal development and self-reflection tool. It is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment, therapy, or medical advice.

We use industry-standard encryption and access controls to protect your data. All data is stored securely and access is limited to authorized personnel only. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
